iTECH Downdraft Table 068E
Downdraft tables collect dust at is source - with the 65E Downdraft Table and help prevent particles getting into the air. It is designed for use when hand sanding or finishing. The steel top has evenly distributed dust collection ports to draw down the dust as it is created. Rubber grommets are fitted in some of the dust ports to provide a protective, non slip surface for the workpiece. The powerful 2 HP motor pulls air through a heavy-duty, reusable, drawer-mounted filter at a rate of 920 cfm. Cleaning the filter is a simple matter of pulling the drawer out and vacuuming the filter. The filter is durable enough to be used over and over again under normal operating conditions. The Sandtrap even traps dust in breezy shops due to the shielding action of the retractable dust curtains. The curtains allow free movement of the workpiece while keeping outside air currents away from the collection area. For larger workpieces, the curtains drop below the table surface, providing more clearance.
