SCM Windor 60 CNC Window Line
SCM Windor 60 CNC Window Line on scottandsargeant

Windor 60
CNC machining centre for window frames, for the production of up to 90 windows per day (8 hour shift)

The Windor 60 is a CNC machining centre which integrates the operations of tenoning, profiling, glazing bead mitre cut and outside profiling of sashes.
Windor 60 allows a high productivity/flexibility rate to economically deal with small batch production and at the same time guaranteeing ease of use and high quality production.

Tenoning unit
2 components can be machined
automatically at the same time with
automatic rotation of components.
The tenoning unit can accept upto
2 multitool spindles of 620 mm. length (Pic.2)

"OPTIMA 16" machining head
Windor 60 can be fitted as an optional with a new machining head which performs all the following auxiliary operations:
Butt and with-the-grain drilling for mullions and transom components
Drilling for handle locations
Drilling for tilt and turn opening
Reference drilling on sashes components for hardware fittings
Execution of slots for hinges
So no additional machines are required assuring a reduction both in production and set-up times as well as elimination of extra costs and risks of errors.

Device for automatic infeed of components into moulding units
This device enables automatic transfer of component into moulding unit while the machine is tenoning, assuring a reduction in production time and eliminating risks of errors.
Moulding unit
The moulding unit can accept 3 multitool spindles, which can be up to 620 mm. long and carry out glazing bead mitre cut.
The machine can be fitted with horizontal bottom and/or top horizontal spindles, left vertical spindles, equipment for processing both laminar wood and machining of hardware fitting locations.

Advanced technology
SCM's long experience in manufacturing industrial frame making equipment have led it to lay great importance to constructive concepts which foresee the use of prism guides, ball screws etc.
Positioning is carried out by motor and encoder CNC controlled through static inverter.
CONTROL 100 PC control unit
Windor 60 is equipped with the latest multi-axiscontrol system. Control 100 PC combines an industrial PC with a PLC.
The "Next" programming software developed by SCM operates
in the Windows environment. Programming is very easy.
All operations are guided by NC shown on display and assisted
by graphs. Jobbing lists can be automatically handled by office PC
and passed to controller by floppy disk or serial link.
