Concept 2000
Automatic double end tenoner
A solid and practical machine for top performance.
Concept 2000-2000D has been designed to rigorous standards to ensure uncompromising precision and durability.
Constructive features
Machine bed
Structure in tubular section, steel ribbed for strength, treated and normalized to prevent all distortion. High-resistance steel slideways of large dimension with hardened, ground and polished surfaces. The contact surface between mobile beam and machine bed is coated with low friction coefficient, hard wearing material (turcite) to ensure rapid, precision movement.
Uprights
In strong, ribbed tubular cast iron generously sized (210 mm) provide a large solid support to working units.
Feed system
Guide of tubular steel with hardened and ground surfaces in contact with feed chain.
The combination of one flat and one semi-circular surface guarantees smooth travel without any play or crosswise movements.
Feed chain is made up of strong sintered steel links
(a production process based on compression at very high pressure) connected up by hardened/ground steel pins and long-life lubricated, roller bearing joints.
Wear resistant synthetic pads with a lip protection to prevent the entry of dust or shavings and a steel core to guarantee maximum impact resistance are placed above the links.
Referencing stops spaced every 400 mm. can be excluded and can be fitted with the optional automatic control to enable raising and lowering of the stops to different heights
(12-18-30 mm) from control panel.
Forced oil-mist lubrication ensures smooth operation between feed chain and guide.
Hold downs
The hold-downs are of steel with special rubber belts to enable application of the ideal pressure on all workpieces and can absorb a difference in level of 12 mm. on the same workpiece.
The hold-downs can traverse crosswise (optional) to enable machining even over feed chains.
CONCEPT 2000 - 2000D can be fitted with a wide range of working units amongst which:

HIGH-TECH
Electro-chuck
The vast experience acquired by SCM in the field of CNC routers has enabled the use of the new electro-chucks fitted with toolholder collet and HSK 63F taper to be extended to the more traditional field of double-end tenoners. The electro-chuck has a rotation speed of up to 12000 r.p.m and a motor power of 11 HP (8 kW) at 6000 r.p.m. and can be combined with the use of a 10-station tool magazine complete with an automatic tool changer. The electro-chuck can also be fitted with an electronic axis controlled by the CNC control according to working requirements.
Electronic shaping system Copytronic 90
is the latest electronic flexible shaping system for the production of kitchen cupboard doors, doors, table tops, etc.
The control is able to directly execute the workpiece on the machine by entering profile date (DXF format file) or entering data directly from the keyboard.
If the same profile is required for workpieces of different width, the CNC control can automatically adjust machining program to match workpiece size (parametric programmation called family programming). (Pic.1)

Control 100 PC Numeric control Concept 2000-2000D can be supplied with the very latest, multi-axis control unit which is organized on two levels. The first level is composed of the numerical control of the machine (industrial PLC) which carries out the operations for the control of the machine. The second level is composed of an industrial PC which VERDANAues with the PLC and forms the man/machine interface. Using "Windows" SCM has developed a supervisor called "Next" which has been installed in the PC to enable the complete control of machines and programmable systems with electronic axis .
This system enables working data to be stored in memory and to be called up by just digiting the name on the keyboard. Each working programming provides to position the working units equipped with electronic axis according to requirements. The programs can be easily memorized, cancelled or altered. Data can be received or transmitted by using a card to connect to other units.
The machine is standardly equipped with a system of remote computerised diagnostics using a modem integrated in the PC and direct connection by phone to the SCM technical assistance service of the SCM. The choice of working unit and machine configuration is based on the work to be done, type of wood to be used and the production output required.
CNC integrated lines and systems Concept 2000 - 2000D has been designed for use with conventional lines and integrated CNC systems for machining the solid wood components of doors, windows, frames and furniture components ect. and for the processing panels in chipboard, laminate and MDF.
