Economy and efficient working practices were paramount when MAFELL designed its innovative timber crafter and assembly bench for the highly
promising timber frame and prefabricated timber construction sector.
With a useful length of 12.5 m, MAFELL's new timber crafter and assembly bench allows the material to be joined easilly.
The machining positions are approached by means of the machine carriage control. The timbers are pressed in an exact parallel operation
by means of a screw drive. Complete prefabricated units up to 3.5 m wide/tall and 12.5 m long can be produced. The versatility of the timber
crafter and assembly bench is further enhanced by the provision for carpentry work beyond the scope of simple timber frame construction.
This makes the new plant suitable for conventional carpentry work, as well as manufacturing structural elements. The optional A specification allows the completed panel to be raised through 80° facilitates acceptance of the finished wall sections.
