8 Station Copy Carving Machine
The use of pantograph carving machines for the production is an ideal and economical solution where repetitive carving is required.
These are machines engineered for the professional workshop or furniture factory.
The "master" is placed between centres in the machine and a block of timber is centred in the second axis and third axis. A router head is mounted in parallel with the tracing stylus, by moving the stylus over the work, the router accurately copies the surface traversed by the router. As work progresses, the workpiece is rotated in its centres which are geared to those holding the carving blank: in this way the figure is progressively rotated and the whole piece can be carved. The angle of approach of the stylus & router can be adjusted so that a degree of undercutting is possible without the need to remount the work.
In addition to their use for 3D pieces, these carvers can also be used for flat panel & relief carving (doors etc) with the correct optional accessories.
